All three trips use the same local team, private camp and island logistics. The main difference is how the days are structured and who you travel with.
Small-group tour: an overview of the island
Essential Socotra takes up to 12 guests over eight days and seven nights. It balances the island's signature landscapes with an unhurried camp rhythm and is the most straightforward choice for a first visit.
You travel with a small group, while the route, vehicles, guide and camp logistics are arranged for you.
Photography expedition: light comes first
Through the Lens runs six workshops each March–April and is limited to eight participants. Each workshop is designed around sunrise, sunset, remote locations and extended shooting time, with the photography mentor travelling throughout the journey.
Choose this if you would rather stay for the light than keep to a conventional sightseeing schedule. It is a photography expedition first, not a standard tour with cameras added.
Private journey: your dates, route and pace
A private trip is arranged for your party alone. It can suit families, friends or a photographer travelling alone, with the route shaped around your interests and time.
A private trip still has to fit the island season. Your dates need to work with both the camp window and the confirmed flight plan.
