A useful Socotra budget separates the journey package from the travel needed to reach the island. It also distinguishes a scheduled small-group price from a private itinerary built around your party.
Current journey prices
The Essential Socotra small-group tour costs USD 2,500 per person from October to January and USD 2,700 from February to April.
The Through the Lens photography expedition costs USD 3,700 per person. Private trips are quoted individually because dates, group size and camp arrangements all affect the plan.
What the journey price includes
The price covers the private camp, all meals prepared by the camp team, ground transport and island logistics, the local team and guides, power and Starlink, and the necessary permits and local arrangements.
You are booking a complete island journey, not just accommodation. Camp, vehicles, crew and permits all operate together as part of the same trip.
Costs shown outside the journey
The international flight to the departure point and the round-trip flight to Socotra are not included. The current Socotra round trip is about USD 980 and changes with the airline and season.
The Socotra visa fee is currently USD 170 per person. Travel insurance and personal extras are separate as well. Always check the current journey page before treating an older quote as final.
Why a private quote changes
A private trip can follow your dates, pace and interests, but those choices affect vehicle use, camp locations, crew days and permits. A family travelling at a slower pace has different operating costs from a photography-focused trip that moves before dawn.
